IDEATION
Mapping out the meditative flow for astrology enthusiasts.
It is my way of visualizing the user’s journey for clarity by highlighting their motivations, actions, and emotions step by step.
PRIORITIZING FEATURES
I prioritized the features to determine what would be important for the users. This helped me narrow down my very ambitious ideas, to having educational insights, zodiac meditation, and a customized pantry.
CHALLENGES
Ideally, the meditations are only catered to one particular zodiac sign but I also wanted to give the option of learning/ meditating through other zodiac signs.
TESTING
I wanted to test out the solution in four separate ways
The first approach involved conducting a usability test of the prototype to evaluate its effectiveness. The second approach focused on running 3 experiments without the prototype to gauge audience interest in the solution.
USER SUCCESS RATE
The goal was to assess the solution's success rate alongside Ease and Confidence scores through a 7-task usability test with 5 participants, with each task rated out of 5.
Received 95% success rate
Received 90% confidence rate
Received 85% ease rate
USER INTEREST
I created a fake website, ran Instagram ads, and designed a poster, all leading to a sign-up page. Success was measured by achieving at least 3 out of 10 sign-ups.
Received 33 sign-ups
USER CONSENT
To test if students were comfortable sharing their birth date, I sent two Google Forms: one collected their birth date, and the other shared a personalized zodiac meditation based on it.
Received 16 responses
USER UNDERSTANDING
The final experiment tested their understanding of personalized zodiac meditations by gauging how many provided positive feedback after receiving them.

USABILITY TESTING
I encountered a few challenges along the way
After the usability test, I conducted a high-to-low severity analysis to identify key blockers. Participants struggled to locate the 'Redeem Points' option on the Account screen, had difficulty finding the self-care test, and didn’t fully grasp the purpose of the pause timer feature.

Low Severity
STYLE GUIDE
I created a style guide to ensure consistency and accessibility throughout the app.
DESIGN OUTCOME
The final design outcome highlights the core tasks of Feel the Stars, guiding users through a personalized, zodiac-inspired meditation experience
Onboarding Process
The 'Choose Your Meditation' page shows various ideal meditation methods for all 12 zodiac signs.
I initially wanted to use 12 different colors for all 12 zodiac signs, but instead chose to stick to 3 colors making it a more seamless and less cluttered experience.
Practicing Meditation
The 'Home' page summarizes the user's onboarding journey and invites them to start the meditation or explore alternative meditation options.
I introduced a 'Pause Timer' feature that allows users to pause their meditation for up to 5 minutes. If they need to step away, they can resume within that time frame or restart the session if they exceed the limit.
Progress Tracking
Gain points for every meditation session completed and track your progress with a streak count feature.

I added a 'Pantry' feature where users can redeem their earned points for therapeutic items, offering a rewarding way to enhance their meditation experience.
WHAT WOULD I DO DIFFERENTLY?
